I know... I know...

Yes... I am AWARE! I have been a slacker on my blog! I have been so so busy! Sorry! I thought after the semester was over life would slow down... instead it's only picked up and gone faster and faster. One day after finals my parents picked me and all my stuff up in Provo, we drove home the next day. The day after that I drove to thatcher and went to Chace Norton's wedding reception, two days later Layne flew in to visit for a week. A week later layne, brittani and I flew to Tulsa. I was there for a week, flew home and worked as my mom's slave for 6 days 'til our family for Texas flew in. 4 days after that Brittany graduated from HIGH SCHOOL! yeah. We had a party for her that night, the next day we went to coolidge for my twin cousin's 22nd birthday. now its 2 days after that.... I'VE BEEN BUSY PEOPLE! but things better start slowing down or I am going to DIE! there are many posts to come.... i just did Oklahoma... I'll do more tomorrow.

Oklahoma

Since my roommate Michelle was getting married, Brittani, Layne, Allie (our neighbor) and I went to Oklahoma to celebrate with her and help her family with the wedding. It was fun for all of us roommates to be together outside of school... all we had to worry about was having F-U-N!

Michelle and Zane were married May 9th! I had such a good time, although when I came home I was completely exhausted!! I worked SO SO hard! I feel completely confident that I could plan and execute a wedding of my own! While we were there Layne took Michelle's Bridals, we set up the cultural hall for the reception, I decorated the vases and put flowers in them, I made corsages and butineers, we helped Michelle's mom prepare the food... it was a lot of work! But we enjoyed being a part of it... here are some pics of our 5 day stay in Tulsa, Oklahoma!

The wedding was held at the Oklahoma City Temple, about a 2 hour drive from Tulsa... yet look how many people showed up!

The reception was HUGE! Since Zane and Michelle are both from Tulsa, both lived there their whole lives, evERyONE was there... like all of tulsa! The roommates manned the food table, it was quite a job. Allie refilled the punch bowl, Brittani dished out the dip-n-dots and I refilled the meat trays. By the end of the night we were exhausted... but it was SO much fun!

Notice the goldfish? Ya, that was Zane's idea!

Caleb and Logan helped me do the cake! I was so lost... I had never done that before!

Zane and Michelle with their nieces and nephews.

Zane's parents put on a big BBQ for the family. His house was really fun... we played on the boat on the pond, ate lots and lots of smoked meat, and talked and laughed.

Zane and his siblings
Zach, Ziek, Zane, Ginger, Janelle
They were so fun! I feel like I have known them forever!!!!

Zane's niece Addie. She is so cute... she winks!

We took Michelle's Bridals in a park by her house and then in downtown Broken Arrow (the town where she lives, just outside Tulsa). It was so much fun. She is beautiful and SO photogenic! Layne took all the pics, she did a great job! Brittani, Allie and I all wore matching colors by coincidence, so funny, we looked like the assistants in uniform!

One of the highlights of being in Tulsa happened the first night we were there... the tornado sirens went off! It was so cool. We were eating at a restaurant with her family when they started! We went outside where Michelle's dad showed us the wall cloud and how fast the clouds were actually moving... it was such a rush.

Lowe's Hardware Store was next door, Michelle's brother Ernie called and said that him and his wife were there and the employees made them go to the back of the store because the storm was getting bad. After hearing this, Michelle's mom checked out the restaurants walk-in freezer by way of the waitress, just in case we needed to take refuge. As we were watching everything suddenly became very very quiet... the calm before the storm! Then it hit hard! Hail and all. Apparently, the tornado did touch down several places... but we were all safe and didn't even have to use the walk-in.

I guess this is all apart of life in TORNADO ALLEY!
